65% of Australian aged care homes will be making a loss by 2022, experts predict

More than half of Australia’s aged care homes are operating at a loss according to a new report, a situation analysts describe as “unsustainable”. Independent aged care accountancy advisors, StewartBrown, says 58% of aged care homes recorded an operating loss for the six months to December 2020. The data is contained in a summary of StewartBrown’s upcoming report, which has been released to HelloCare. The full report will be released on Thursday.
